ハクサンシャクナゲ。
北海道、本州中部地方以北の亜高山帯から高山帯に分布する常緑低木樹。
富士山の西（標高2300ｍ）、北面の亜高山帯に多く分布している。
淡いピンク色の花をつける。

Flower of R. brachycarpum
Rhododendron brachycarpum is an evergreen species, distributed on subalpine to alpine zone of Hokkaido and northern part of Honshu in Japan.
In the case of Mt. Fuji, it is distributed mainly on west and north slope.
